The Domain Expiration Monitoring feature is a service provided for our paid plans. This feature regularly checks your domain's expiration date and sends you notifications beforehand, helping to prevent unexpected domain loss due to overlooked renewals.
The domain expiration monitoring feature is available for HTTP(S) and keyword monitors.
How does Domain Expiration Monitoring work?
UptimeRobot gathers data from the WHOIS records to find your domain's current expiration date. The system then issues alert notifications at preset intervals: 30, 14, 7, and 1 day before the domain expires. This gives you enough time to prevent disaster and protect all your domains.
How can I set up the Domain Expiration Monitoring feature?
By default, the Domain Expiration Monitoring feature is enabled when creating a monitor.
Can this feature monitor all types of domain extensions?
We support most domain extensions. However, some extensions might not be covered due to their WHOIS server rules. If you face any issues while setting up or receiving alerts for a particular domain extension, feel free to reach out to our support team.
What are the options for receiving notifications about domain expiration?
Alerts can be sent through any integrations and options, including emails, SMS messages, push notifications, Slack, Twitter, Pagerduty, Discord, Telegram, and more.
Is it possible to disable this feature en masse for several monitors or all monitors at once?
Yes, if you wish to disable the Domain Expiration Monitoring feature for multiple or all monitors at once, you can do so using the Bulk Actions feature.
