UptimeRobot SMS & Voice Call Credits – How They Work

Discover how SMS and voice call credits work in UptimeRobot so you can receive instant downtime alerts via phone or text.

Updated over 3 months ago

Each SMS or voice call notification you receive from UptimeRobot costs a certain number of credits. For SMS notifications, the number of credits used may vary depending on the recipient's country. In some countries, an SMS alert might consume more than one credit due to higher delivery costs. However, voice call alerts are charged consistently across all countries. Regardless of the recipient's location, one voice call alert equals two credits.

For an exact breakdown of credit consumption by country, you can refer to our comprehensive list provided in this blog post.

SMS and voice calls are features accessible across all available plans, including the Free plan. However, these features require the purchase of additional credits.

Upon upgrading to a paid subscription, clients will receive a one-time credit package, the volume of which is dependent on the specific plan chosen.

Subsequent credits can be purchased at any time via the dashboard by navigating to Account Settings, and under the Billing, Plan & Subscription section.

The pricing for SMS and voice call credits is as follows:

  • $3 for 10 SMS or voice call credits

  • $15 for 100 SMS or voice call credits

  • $25 for 200 SMS or voice call credits

  • $55 for 500 SMS or voice call credits

  • $100 for 1000 SMS or voice call credits

Auto-refill options are available and can be activated to automatically replenish credits when the balance reaches 25 credits.

Please note, adding each new phone number for SMS or voice call alerts requires verification through an SMS message. The cost of verification SMS messages varies according to the specific country's rates.
